CONFIRMATION MINISTRY

Our 7th and 8th grade students receive instruction in Christian faith and life. They learn that one of the most important questions they can ask is “What is God up to?”

Confirmation

Confirmation is a critical part of reading, listening, reflecting and sharing the word of God (from our Guiding Principles).  Meeting weekly over the course of two years we focus on a detailed study of the books of the Bible (Year 1) and a wide-ranging study of Lutheran theology, history and ethics (Year2).  Those students satisfying the requirements of the program are confirmed on Pentecost Sunday.  As they affirm the promises made on their behalf by their parents and sponsors at their baptisms they become adult members of the church taking on the responsibility of living out their faith in service to Christ and his church.

The class meets each Sunday morning at 9:15 AM
during the school year.
